PUTRAJAYA: The Chief of PKR Putrajaya Branch, Muhammad Fikri Abdul Aziz, announced that a total of 78 participants attended a special screening of the animated film Ejen Ali, organised for the children of voters in Putrajaya at GSC IOI City Mall yesterday.

The programme was part of PKR Putrajaya’s initiative to engage with the younger generation during the school holidays and received an encouraging response.

“We shared the information through Putrajaya WhatsApp groups. This is our first step in reaching out to the children in this area,” he told the media.

According to Fikri, this screening marked the second programme under the newly elected PKR Putrajaya Branch leadership, following the party’s branch elections in April.

The first programme was the distribution of food baskets to local residents.

He added that the choice of Ejen Ali was aimed at cultivating an interest in technology among the younger generation, in line with the government’s emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

“We chose Ejen Ali because it’s a local production, and almost two-thirds of the storyline revolves around AI technology. We want to educate the children on the importance of technological advancement,” he said.

The programme involved randomly selected primary and secondary school students and received a very positive response.

“Previously, we also organised a screening of the film Anwar, The Untold Story at Alamanda, Putrajaya. We plan to continue with more programmes in the future.

“This Sunday, we will also be holding an event in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration,” he added.

Fikri shared that the children expressed joy at being able to spend their school holidays participating in meaningful and beneficial activities.
