PM Braves Rain Alongside 63,000 Fans at Siti Nurhaliza Concert

KUALA LUMPUR: Rain did not deter Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from joining approximately 63,000 fans at Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza’s Gema Bumantara Traditional Concert at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday.

Anwar was seen wearing a raincoat as he watched the performance alongside concertgoers, reflecting his appreciation for traditional music and the cultural heritage of the Malay Archipelago.

Speaking during a break in the concert, Siti Nurhaliza expressed her appreciation for the presence of Anwar and several Cabinet ministers despite their busy schedules.

Anwar was seen seated beside Siti Nurhaliza’s husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, and Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul.

The Gema Bumantara concert featured guest performers including Noraniza Idris, Haziq Rosebi and Indonesian singers Lesti Kejora and King Nassar.

The three-hour performance featured more than 30 classic songs, with Siti Nurhaliza also showcasing the uniqueness of traditional music through zapin dance performances, shadow puppetry and traditional costumes.

Previously, on January 10, 2026, Siti Nurhaliza’s Legacy 30 Concert was held at the same venue, attracting 65,000 fans.
