‘Abang Susu’ cares for the welfare of the Indonesian people

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian entrepreneur, Klaus Lim, 36, has been actively organizing community service programs (CSR) in various regions of Indonesia for the past 15 years.

This noble effort by the Batu Pahat, Johor native involves providing free educational programs for underprivileged children in the country.

This initiative also receives support from a close friend in Indonesia, Sadri May Hendro, a former classmate from university in Malaysia, who is an entrepreneur in the legal field.

He stated that the program aims to instill the importance of education among children by providing proper channels for accessing more effective educational resources.

“I believe that only through education can we change the fate and future of individuals, and I am convinced that world peace begins with education; everyone deserves equal treatment,” he said.

Klaus Lim mentioned that his team also assists the people in the country in advocating for workers’ and women’s rights, in addition to other legal support.

 

Known as ‘Brother Milk,’ he expressed awareness of many in society who are struggling financially and are facing challenges in obtaining a quality education.

He noted that throughout his involvement in this program, assistance has been provided to over 5,000 families in various aspects, including legal services.

“Through this program, 25,000 families have received help, including food assistance, financial support, home repairs for the elderly, and medical funding for the poor,” he stated.

Klaus Lim said that to realize this program, he has invited many friends from among former university students to join this mission.

He added that the program also involves missions to assist people affected by disasters such as earthquakes and floods.

“I am confident that assistance programs do not recognize race or religion, and I aim to expand them throughout the country so that more people in need receive support in times of hardship,” he said.
