PH Manifesto: RM1,000 Baby Bonus Among Five Johor Change Catalyst Initiatives
JOHOR BAHRU: Pakatan Harapan (PH) has introduced five Johor Change Catalyst Initiatives focusing on welfare, family development, and economic strengthening, including a proposal for a RM1,000 bonus for every baby born in Johor.
A member of the Central Leadership Council (MPP) of the People’s Justice Party (PKR), Maszlee Malik, said that each initiative introduced is not merely a promise, but is structured based on long-term planning that takes into account the current needs of the people at all levels.
“The next initiative is that PH also plans to expand childcare facilities through Madani nurseries and nurseries at the workplace, particularly to help mothers in urban areas to return to work with greater peace of mind and comfort.
“In terms of public mobility, the state government also offers public transport passes as low as RM50 per month to students, the elderly, and persons with disabilities (OKU) to ensure a more inclusive and affordable transport system,” he said when presenting the PH Manifesto for the Johor State Election (PRN) here on Friday.
Also present were PH Election Machinery Director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari; PH Johor Chairman who is also the state Amanah Chairman, Aminolhuda Huda Hassan; DAP Johor Chairman Teo Nie Ching; and PKR Johor Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaleha Mustafa.
At the same time, Maszlee said that the “Balik Johor” programme will be implemented to attract back Johoreans who are currently working in Singapore and abroad to return and contribute their expertise to the state’s development.
“PH also emphasises resolving people’s issues through the establishment of the Johor Land Rights Tribunal, aimed at expediting the resolution of land and lease issues that have long been protracted.
“All these initiatives are seen as a comprehensive approach to strengthening Johor’s social and economic development, with an emphasis on policies that can be measured and monitored by the people,” he said.
