KUALA LUMPUR: Puteri UMNO Malaysia has welcomed the Prime Minister’s Department’s statement regarding the tragic bullying case involving the late Zara Qairina Mahathir, describing the move to charge the suspects as a positive step towards ensuring justice.
Its chief, Datuk Nurul Amal Mohd Fauzi, said the decision to bring the suspects involved—whose actions went viral on social media—before the authorities demonstrates that the investigation is progressing in an orderly and fair manner.
“This shows that the system and the relevant authorities are carrying out their duties diligently to secure justice for the late Zara Qairina,” she said in a statement today.
Nurul Amal stressed that Puteri UMNO fully supports the authorities in taking stern action against all those involved—whether directly as bullies or indirectly as parties who allowed such incidents to occur.
She said decisive action was necessary to prevent similar tragedies from happening again in the future.
“May justice for the late Zara Qairina be fully upheld, and may all processes throughout this case be facilitated smoothly,” she added.
