King Emphasises People-Centred Development in Kuala Lumpur, Says Facebook Post

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has underscored the importance of people-centred development in Kuala Lumpur, highlighting the need for effective governance, efficient public service delivery and continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of city residents.

According to a Facebook post by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, His Majesty stressed that the welfare of the people remains a top priority, alongside balanced development to ensure that all policies and implementation efforts benefit society as a whole.

The remarks were shared following an audience where the king received a briefing on the Kuala Lumpur Reform initiative.

During the briefing, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh presented updates on various aspects of the reform agenda, including urban planning and security matters, according to the same post.

The King also reiterated his consistent emphasis on ensuring that development policies in the Federal Territories are aligned with the interests of the people and support long-term urban sustainability.

Also present during the briefing were Federal Territories Department director-general Datuk Muhammad Azmi Mohd Zain and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Fadlun Mak Ujud.

The briefing forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and improve urban management in Kuala Lumpur under the broader reform initiative.
