Integrity and Firm Action in Anti-Corruption Drive During Audience with Top Officials: King Sultan Ibrahim

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has emphasised the importance of integrity, accountability and continuous efforts in strengthening the nation’s anti-corruption agenda.

The King expressed his views during an audience with the newly appointed Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman, at Istana Negara on Thursday.

According to a statement posted on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, His Majesty advised that the responsibility entrusted to public office holders must be carried out with the highest level of integrity.

“The fight against corruption must be implemented continuously, firmly and without favouritism to ensure that integrity and the rule of law are always upheld,” His Majesty was quoted as saying.

In the same series of audiences, the King also received the Chairman of the Election Commission of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun, followed by an audience with the Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman.

Also present at the meetings was the Director-General of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Datuk Fazal Abdul Rahman.

The engagements reflect ongoing royal attention on key national institutions responsible for governance, electoral integrity, and national security.
