Based on research, Apple’s iPhone sales in China increased by 52% in April
BEIJING: Based on industry data, Reuters calculated on Tuesday that Apple’s iPhone sales in China increased by 52% in April compared to the same month last year.
The significant rise comes after the U.S. tech giant saw a lacklustre performance earlier this year in the largest smartphone market in the world. Local competitors like Huawei (HWT.UL) are becoming more and more formidable in the high-end market.
A considerable improvement over the first two months of 2024, when the company saw a 37% decline in sales, was seen in March’s 12% gain in Apple exports to China.
In April, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) reported that smartphone sales in the country had climbed to 22.7 million devices, a 25.5% rise overall. – REUTERS
