Anwar Calls for Continuation of Reform Movement During Johor Visit

JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 13 (VoM): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ended his working visit to Johor by attending the 27 Years of Reformasi State-Level Gathering alongside KEADILAN’s central and state leadership. The event was held in a relaxed yet spirited atmosphere, reflecting the resilience of the movement’s struggle.

In his address, Anwar reminded members and supporters that Reformasi is not merely a slogan but a deep-rooted commitment to justice, transparency, and humanity.

He stressed that the struggle must continue with wisdom, principle, and a clear vision to build a nation that is humane, inclusive, and progressive.

“The country we aspire to is not only measured by infrastructure and economic figures but also one that upholds human dignity, defends the oppressed, and celebrates diversity in the spirit of unity,” Anwar said.

He further emphasized that every step of reform taken today is for the benefit of future generations, so they may inherit a Malaysia that is just, peaceful, and dignified.

The Johor program marked the conclusion of Anwar’s official engagements in the state.
