NEOM:  Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday strongly denounced recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outlining his vision for a so-called “Greater Israel.” The Cabinet rejected what it described as expansionist settlement projects that violate international law and undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in NEOM, the meeting reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering position on the historical and legal right of Palestinians to establish an independent, sovereign state.

Ministers condemned Israel’s recent approval of new settlements around occupied Jerusalem and urged the international community, particularly the permanent members of the UN Security Council to take immediate action to halt violations and ensure compliance with UN resolutions, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Acting Minister of Media Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said the Cabinet also discussed a range of regional and international issues. Members reiterated Riyadh’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at peacefully resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict and welcomed recent high-level meetings by global leaders to ease tensions.

Marking World Humanitarian Day, the Cabinet highlighted Saudi Arabia’s longstanding role as one of the world’s largest donors, reaffirming its commitment to global humanitarian and relief efforts.

Domestically, the session reviewed achievements in the education sector ahead of the new academic year, including curriculum updates, the integration of artificial intelligence, expanded technical training, and stronger support for innovation and talent development.

The Cabinet also approved several cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding with international partners in fields such as sports, tourism, customs, health, and the development of small and medium enterprises. Agreements with the United States, Spain, Syria, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Grenada, and the Maldives were endorsed.

In addition, members approved the introduction of new regulatory frameworks on handicrafts, environmental coordination, and senior-level government promotions and transfers.
