Drowning Victim’s Body Surfaces One Hour After Azan, Tahfiz Students’ Solat Hajat
KOTA TINGGI: The miracle of the azan call, solat hajat (prayer of need), and the recitation of Surah Yasin by a group of tahfiz students once again proved the power of Allah, when another drowning victim’s body was found floating at Tanjung Lompat Beach here an hour later.
The body of the victim, Muhammad Adib Hafiy Kamal, 16, who was feared to have drowned since Wednesday, was found floating at 11.15 am at Tanjung Siang, approximately five kilometres from the incident site.
The Islamic Education Teacher of Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Ar-Redha Bandar Penawar, Mohd. Azroy Azhar, said he and about 20 of his students took the initiative on the second day by performing the solat hajat and reciting Surah Yasin together with the victim’s family members as early as 9 am, finishing around 10.30 am.
“We recited the azan at the shoreline and recited Surah Yasin together with the family members involved. We always believed that the victim’s body, insya-Allah, would be found soon.
“Not only at the beach, but we will also continue performing the sunat hajat prayers every night. I have also discussed with the mudir (principal) to continue the recitation of Surah Yasin at our madrasah until the remaining body is found,” he said when met by reporters at Tanjung Lompat Beach.
Mohd. Azroy also shared the moment when he and his students witnessed the body of Muhammad Thaqif Rayyan Rumainoor, 16, floating shortly after the azan was recited for the second time in the middle of the sea yesterday afternoon.
“Alhamdulillah, it was an extraordinary experience yesterday. After reciting the azan at the shoreline, we were taken by a friend who had a large boat to the middle of the sea, together with students aged 18 and above.
“Our initial intention was to recite the azan seven times. However, Allah’s will prevailed over everything. As soon as we finished the second azan call, we immediately saw a body floating on the water’s surface,” he added.
