NEOM: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday issued a strong condemnation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks outlining his vision for a so-called “Greater Israel,” describing it as an expansionist policy that violates international law and undermines Palestinian rights.

Chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in NEOM, the Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people and their historical and legal right to establish an independent, sovereign state on their lands.

Ministers also denounced recent Israeli approvals for new settlements around occupied Jerusalem, urging the international community, particularly permanent members of the UN Security Council, to act decisively to stop what they called “crimes against the Palestinian people” and to ensure Israeli compliance with UN resolutions, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Acting Minister of Media Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said the Cabinet further addressed a range of regional and global issues. Members reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict peacefully, welcoming recent talks between US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and European leaders.

Marking World Humanitarian Day, the Cabinet highlighted Saudi Arabia’s leading role in humanitarian work and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s place among the world’s top donor nations.

On domestic affairs, members reviewed progress in the education sector ahead of the new academic year, citing curriculum development, the integration of artificial intelligence, expanded technical training, and initiatives to promote innovation and talent development.

The Cabinet also approved several cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding across diverse sectors, including sports, tourism, customs, health, and small and medium enterprise development   with countries such as the United States, Spain, Syria, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Grenada, and the Maldives.

Additionally, new systems were endorsed to regulate handicrafts, environmental coordination, and personnel promotions and transfers within senior government ranks, the SPA reported.
