RIYADH, Sept 20 (VoM): Jeddah is set to welcome the fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition from November 9 to 12, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program. This year’s theme, “From Makkah to the World,” reflects Saudi Arabia’s vision of advancing global cooperation in Hajj services.
Held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the event follows the success of last year’s edition, which attracted over 120,000 visitors from 137 countries, featured 220 exhibitors, and resulted in more than 670 partnership agreements.
The 2025 conference will offer 80 sessions and 60 specialized workshops targeting academics, researchers, service providers, diplomats, and trainees. The King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah) will host the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum, highlighting the cultural evolution of pilgrimage and showcasing innovative uses of technology to preserve and share Hajj heritage.
Spanning over 52,000 square meters, the accompanying exhibition will feature more than 260 exhibitors representing industries such as travel, transportation, healthcare, hospitality, technology, insurance, food services, and crowd management. An Innovation Zone will spotlight 15 startups competing in three challenge categories to design future-focused solutions for enhancing pilgrim services.
Organizers describe the conference as the world’s only specialized international platform dedicated to Hajj system development and innovation, bringing together government bodies, private companies, and non-profit organizations. It aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to elevate the pilgrim experience through collaboration and sustainability-driven initiatives.
