Five Eateries Razed in Kota Damansara Flats Fire

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (VoM): A fire broke out at Block C of the Gugusan Kesumbar Flats in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, destroying five eateries on Friday evening.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received a distress call at 6.06pm.

“The first fire engine from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene at 6.20pm and managed to bring the flames under control within four minutes, by 6.24pm,” he said in a statement.

The blaze completely destroyed five eateries, each measuring 50×50 square feet, along with two cars and three motorcycles.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
