BN-PN Political Cooperation Only Applies In Negeri Sembilan

HULU TERENGGANU: The political understanding between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) for the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) only involves that state and does not apply to other states.

UMNO Vice President, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, said any decision regarding political cooperation in other states must be discussed with the party’s top leadership and not decided unilaterally.

“As of today, the cooperation is only in Negeri Sembilan. For other states, we will discuss first and the decision will not be made by a single individual but rather decided collectively by the party’s top leadership,” he said.

He said this after officiating the UMNO Hulu Terengganu Division Delegates Meeting at the Malaysian Building Academy (ABM) Jenagor here today.

Wan Rosdy said the political approach must take into account the current situation and needs of each state, as the political landscape is always dynamic and changing.

The Pahang Menteri Besar said political cooperation with PN is necessary for the context of Negeri Sembilan.

“In politics, we need to be wise in making considerations and sometimes we need to share in order to achieve a greater goal. However, the political approach taken by one state is not necessarily the same because each state has its own situation and challenges,” he said.
