KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (VoM): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will deliver Malaysia’s national statement at the upcoming Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit, which gathers leaders from across the Muslim world to address urgent regional and global challenges.

The summit, scheduled to take place this week, is expected to focus on escalating conflicts in the Middle East, humanitarian crises, and collective efforts to safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people. It will also serve as a platform to strengthen political and economic cooperation among Arab and Islamic nations.

According to Wisma Putra, Anwar’s address will highlight Malaysia’s consistent stance in advocating for peace, justice, and international solidarity. He is expected to stress the importance of unity among Muslim-majority countries in facing external pressures and in advancing the welfare of their people.

The Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit is convened at a critical moment, with renewed tensions in the region and growing calls for coordinated action to resolve longstanding issues affecting the Muslim world.

Malaysia has long played an active role in international forums concerning Palestine, humanitarian assistance, and interfaith dialogue, and Anwar’s participation at the summit reaffirms the country’s commitment to these causes.
