KUALA LUMPUR: The concerning health condition of environmental journalism figure Datuk Karam Singh Walia has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

According to Berita Harian, Anwar, represented by his Political Secretary Farhan Fauzi, visited the former TV3 journalist yesterday and provided necessary assistance.

“Yesterday, my Political Secretary, Mr. Farhan Fauzi, represented me in visiting Datuk Karam Singh Walia, a renowned environmental journalist known for his use of rare proverbs.

“I was informed that Mr. Karam Singh’s health is currently worrying as he is suffering from liver disease and kidney problems.

“In addition to discussing his experiences in exposing the misdeeds of those who destroy the environment, Mr. Farhan also delivered a contribution on my behalf to Mr. Karam Singh.

“I hope this contribution helps alleviate the burden of his medical expenses. I pray for Mr. Karam Singh’s swift recovery and that he can continue to educate the younger generation on the importance of environmental protection,” Anwar said on platform X today.
