Anwar Hopes ‘Students’ Can Learn Madani Diplomacy from Their ‘Teacher’

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed hope that his “students” could learn how Madani Diplomacy is put into practice in Malaysia’s mission to strengthen its presence on the global stage.

Anwar made the remarks in a social media post after arriving in New Delhi, India, to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit.

He also called for prayers that Malaysia’s diplomatic mission at the summit would achieve its intended objectives.

“May the students learn from the teacher how Madani Diplomacy is put into practice,” he said in a Facebook post.

The post came a day after Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi used the term “teacher” in his policy speech as UMNO president when urging those concerned to listen to the grievances and concerns of the people.

Anwar’s participation in the summit reflects Malaysia’s commitment to further strengthening diplomatic relations and strategic cooperation at the international level.

Malaysia is participating in the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit in its capacity as a BRICS partner country, a status it has held since Jan 1, 2025.
