Amber Chia’s ex-husband did not ever file for marriage

KUALA LUMPUR: Amber Chia, an actress and model, disclosed that she and her ex-husband Adrian Wong never registered for marriage in 2010, ending their marriage 11 years later.

The 42-year-old Chia stated in a news story yesterday that she and businessman Wong never registered for marriage because she did not want to go through the same ordeal that took her sister about ten years to finalise their separation.

According to Chia, she and Wong had frequent arguments about differing viewpoints, such as Ashton’s schooling, the 13-year-old son.

“Our sentiments gradually diminished since we argued so often.

According to Chia, there was a time when things became so bad that they didn’t want to talk to one another. This state of affairs persisted for four years.

Chia added that Ashton disagreed with their breakup, despite the fact that he would console her whenever she had a disagreement with Wong.

“I told him that we will always love him without conditions and that he will always be our son, no matter what. He ultimately agreed to our divorce,” she remarked.

Chia and Wong have remained close friends despite their separation; in fact, Wong recently invited her to his 50th birthday celebration.
