API Readings Under Control: Schools in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu to Operate as Usual Tomorrow – Fadhlina

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Education has announced that all schools in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu will operate as usual tomorrow.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek shared the announcement in a Facebook post earlier today.

“Schools in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu will operate as usual tomorrow as the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings remain under control.

“The Ministry of Education will continue to monitor air quality developments from time to time,” she said.

Last Thursday, Fadhlina announced that schools in Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya had been ordered to close due to the haze affecting the country.

However, in Pahang, she said the closure only involved schools in the Rompin district.

Schools in Perlis, Perak, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will continue to operate as usual.
