PUTRAJAYA, June 17— In a significant move to enhance digital accessibility for non-citizens, the Jabatan Digital Negara (JDN), under the Ministry of Digital, officially launched the RAI Portal, a new online platform aimed at serving as a centralized hub for government services and information relevant to foreign nationals in Malaysia.

The Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, officiated the launch ceremony at the Departure Hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang. The initiative aligns with Malaysia’s ongoing preparations to chair ASEAN in 2025 and complements the national campaign for Visit Malaysia in 2026.

Accessible via www.rai.malaysia.gov.my, the RAI Portal is a new segment of the government’s MyGovernment Portal, specifically tailored for non-citizens. It is designed as a one-stop digital gateway, offering structured and easy-to-navigate services based on the primary needs of international visitors, residents, students, and investors.

“The RAI Portal represents Malaysia’s commitment to becoming more inclusive, efficient, and globally connected,” said Minister Gobind Singh during the launch. “It reflects our dedication to digital transformation while reinforcing Malaysia’s image as a forward-looking, internationally friendly nation.”

The launch event also featured a live demonstration of the portal and a digital exhibition by various government agencies that provide services to foreigners. The entire event was streamed live on JDN’s official social media channels, ensuring wider public engagement.

Built with a user-friendly interface, the RAI Portal incorporates responsive design, intelligent search features, personalized content, and guided topics to help users easily access services related to

  • Immigration and entry procedures
  • Tourism and travel
  • Education opportunities
  • Daily life in Malaysia
  • Employment and work permits
  • Investment and business setup

The government views the RAI Portal as a strategic tool in strengthening Malaysia’s global competitiveness, particularly in attracting foreign talent, international investors, and global tourists. It is also positioned to highlight Malaysia’s diverse offerings and enhance its visibility on the world stage.

By streamlining access to essential services and promoting Malaysia’s advantages, the RAI Portal is expected to play a pivotal role in the country’s digital and economic growth as it prepares for key regional and global engagements in the coming years.
