Blinken unexpectedly meets Iraq PM on Syria crisis tour
Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, met with Iraq’s prime minister on Friday without warning. Now that Bashar Assad is no longer in power, he is trying to figure out how to deal with Syria in a regional way.
An AFP reporter who was flying with Blinken said that the top US diplomat flew from Ankara, the capital of Turkey, to Baghdad to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
