JTKSM Madani Adopted Village Programme Opens Economic Opportunities, Empowers Kampung Haji Noor Residents
KLUANG: Kampung Haji Noor in Simpang Renggam has been selected as the Department of Labour Peninsular Malaysia (JTKSM) MADANI Adopted Village 2026 in an effort to empower community infrastructure and local human capital development.
According to JTKSM Director-General Kamal Pardi, the selection is fully supported by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) through a special allocation of RM500,000 for main development projects in the village area.
“This empowerment measure also received an additional allocation of RM100,000 from MOF for us to execute projects through strategic collaboration with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
“From that fund, 90 percent is allocated directly for project management costs, while the remaining 10 percent is awarded as an incentive to the participating TVET institutions,” he said.
He said this when delivering his speech at the Launching Ceremony of the JTKSM MADANI Adopted Village Programme 2026 at Surau An-Nur, Kampung Haji Noor, yesterday.
The two-day programme, held at Surau An-Nur and Masjid Kampung Haji Noor, encompasses various physical development and community activities.
To ensure the programme’s objectives are met, he said the department has outlined four main project scopes, including constructing a Mini Recreation Park and Children’s Playground to create a comfortable, safe, and community-friendly recreational space.
“We are also focusing on upgrading Surau An-Nur and upgrading its electrical supply to three-phase to enhance comfort for congregants during worship, alongside improving existing facilities for senior citizens.
“The third project involves rewiring works, upgrading the electrical supply to three-phase, and constructing an additional kitchen at the Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PAWE) by utilizing the services and expertise of TVET institutions,” he said.
At the same time, Kamal stated that the department is organizing Short-Term Skill Courses specifically for youth and local residents to enhance their practical skills, thereby unlocking new economic and career opportunities.
He added that the initiative not only upgrades basic village facilities, but also enlivens the environment, strengthens community ties, and continuously drives the residents’ socio-economic status.
The MADANI Adopted Village Programme is a strategic Federal Government initiative under the MADANI Budget aimed at bridging the development gap between urban and rural areas.
Through a Whole-of-Government collaborative approach, the programme entrusts ministries and government agencies to complete basic infrastructure and develop the socio-economic potential of selected settlements nationwide.
