Mother, two sons killed in fire

KLUANG: A mother and her two sons were killed in a fire at a two-storey terraced house in Taman Titiwangsa here last night.

The victims were identified as Noraini Ibrahim, 49, Khairul Nurhaziqq Khairulnizam, 18, and Khairul Nurhadiff Khairulnizam, 11.

They were confirmed dead at the scene, and their bodies were taken to Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for post-mortems.

The victims are believed to have died after being trapped in the fire, which occurred at about 10.30 pm.

Kluang Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Jusoh Mohd Salleh was reported to have said that his team received an emergency call at 10.44 pm and dispatched 14 personnel with a fire engine to the location.
