Foreign Student Dies After Falling From Fifth-Floor Apartment in Sepang

SEPANG: A 39-year-old foreign student studying at a local university was found dead after falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building in Sepang on Saturday (March 7).

According to Norhizam Bahaman, the police chief of Sepang District Police, authorities received an emergency report regarding the incident and immediately dispatched officers from the Cyberjaya Police Station to the scene.

Upon arrival, police discovered the victim lying face down in the lobby area of the apartment building with visible injuries consistent with a fall from height. Initial investigations were carried out at the scene by police and forensic personnel.

“Preliminary forensic examinations found no evidence of criminal elements in the incident,” Norhizam said in a statement on Sunday.

Police have classified the case as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) while further investigations continue. The victim’s body has been sent to Cyberjaya Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities have not yet released the identity or nationality of the victim, pending further investigation and notification of the next of kin.
