BEIJING, Sept 18 (VoM): Malaysia and China have agreed to deepen cooperation in the management and welfare of military veterans, following a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.

During the meeting, Malaysia’s representative held discussions with Pei Jinjia, China’s Minister of Veterans Affairs, where both sides exchanged experiences on strengthening support systems for veterans.
The two countries affirmed their commitment to enhance existing collaboration, with a focus on improving veteran management and welfare frameworks for the benefit of retired armed forces personnel in both nations.
The agreement underscores a shared commitment by Malaysia and China to ensure that veterans receive greater recognition and support through improved policies, institutional cooperation, and best practice exchanges.
