KUALA LUMPUR (VoM): The Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-12, currently serving in Lebanon under a United Nations peacekeeping mission, celebrated Malaysia’s 62nd Malaysia Day with enthusiasm by organizing a 10-kilometer Fun Run.
In a statement, MALBATT 850-12 said the program was held to ignite patriotic spirit among its personnel while maintaining their fitness and discipline, despite being far from home.
The run was officially flagged off by MALBATT 850-12 Commander, Colonel Johan Effendi Mohd Shalleh, who also joined officers and troops in the event.
“The participation across all levels reflects the strength and unity of our personnel. This Fun Run is not just a fitness activity but also a symbolic expression of MALBATT members’ love for their homeland and their commitment to remain disciplined and spirited while carrying out the peacekeeping mission under the United Nations,” the statement read.
