Arrival of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam for State Visit to Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, today arrived at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base, Subang, to commence a four-day state visit to Malaysia at the gracious invitation of His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim.

The state visit underscores the warm and longstanding bonds of friendship between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, built upon shared heritage, mutual respect, and enduring cooperation.
A key highlight of the visit will be the convening of the 26th Malaysia-Brunei Annual Leaders’ Consultation (ALC) on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, in Putrajaya. Both leaders will undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral cooperation, explore avenues to further strengthen existing partnerships, and address outstanding issues of mutual concern.
In addition, the two Heads of State are expected to exchange views on regional and international developments, with particular focus on ASEAN-related matters, ensuring that both Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam continue to play a proactive role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Malaysia looks forward to the continued strengthening of its close relations with Brunei Darussalam, further enriched by the spirit of brotherhood and sustained collaboration between the two nations.
