SEPANG: Immigration authorities at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) have detained two foreign nationals found without valid entry records upon arrival.

According to the Immigration Department, the individuals were flagged during a routine inspection at the international arrival hall. Both failed to provide proper documentation or proof of legal entry into Malaysia.

Preliminary investigations suggest the duo may have entered using irregular travel arrangements. Authorities are now verifying their identities and travel history with the assistance of relevant agencies.

“Malaysia will not compromise on border security. All foreigners entering the country must comply with immigration laws,” an Immigration Department spokesperson said.

The two detainees are currently being held at KLIA for further questioning under the Immigration Act. Officials have reminded travelers to ensure their travel documents are in order to avoid detention or deportation.
