Wet Weather to Continue Until Nov 22, Says MetMalaysia

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast that wet conditions will persist across parts of the country until Nov 22, with thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected during this period.

In an advisory issued at 1.30pm on Sunday (Nov 16), MetMalaysia said weather models indicate wind convergence over the eastern and northern regions of Peninsular Malaysia from Nov 19 to 22, a pattern likely to trigger unstable weather.

The department urged the public to stay alert, remain updated on weather developments, and take necessary precautions, especially those living in flood- or landslide-prone areas.

MetMalaysia advised Malaysians to follow updates on its official website, social media channels, and the myCuaca mobile app for accurate and timely information.

Authorities also reminded residents in at-risk areas to monitor local alerts closely and to prioritize safety during severe weather events.
