WCSC 2024 to serve as global platform for discussing and promoting sustainable cities

KUALA LUMPUR: The International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities 2024 (WCSC 2024) will serve as a global platform for discussing and promoting sustainable cities in Kuala Lumpur, said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Dr. Zaliha Mustafa.

According to the portal Wilayahku, she made this statement after attending a dinner for the 15th International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities 2024 in the capital last night.

She mentioned that WCSC is an eagerly anticipated conference for players and researchers in urban development and planning every year.

“This year, WCSC features an engaging theme: ‘Revitalising Kuala Lumpur Through Innovative Urban Regeneration.’

“I was scheduled to deliver a special keynote address this morning in person but was unable to attend due to an important meeting.

“However, I still took the opportunity to ‘be there’ this morning virtually,” she said on Facebook.

Furthermore, Zaliha stated that in her keynote address, she will delve into and elaborate on the topic of ‘urban regeneration.’

She will also discuss the vision of CHASE City, which she introduced earlier this year.

“This could be a key focus in ‘urban regeneration’,” she added.
