TVET Graduates Yet to Find Work Urged to Apply via MYFutureJobs Portal
BANGI: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates who have yet to obtain employment are urged to make use of the MYFutureJobs portal to increase their chances of getting a job.
Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said that the portal provided by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) offers various job opportunities from employers nationwide and can serve as the best platform for graduates to start their careers.
“If it is difficult to find a job, you can apply through the MYFutureJobs portal provided under the Ministry of Human Resources. Job opportunities do exist,” he told reporters after attending the Convocation Ceremony of the Advanced Technology College (Adtec) of the Manpower Department (JTM) here today.
Ramanan said that the government will continue to help TVET graduates obtain suitable jobs according to their qualifications and skills, in line with industry needs that continue to require skilled workers.
Meanwhile, he said that Adtec JTM graduates continue to receive recognition from the industry, with the institution’s graduate employability rate reaching 95.5 percent, while the employer satisfaction level towards the institution’s graduates was recorded at 97.2 percent.
“This achievement proves that the training provided by Adtec JTM meets industry needs. This is a government gem that many may not know about, which is why this success needs to be highlighted,” he said.
Commenting on the starting salaries of graduates, he said that the income received varies according to the employment sector and location of placement, with some graduates receiving salaries exceeding RM4,000 per month, particularly in fields such as maritime which offer allowances and payments in foreign currency.
He said that major companies including Perodua, Huawei and 7‑Eleven are among the employers offering job opportunities to Adtec JTM graduates, thus reflecting the industry’s confidence in the quality of training provided by the institution.
Earlier, Ramanan attended the first session of the Adtec JTM Convocation Ceremony, which involved 637 graduates out of the total of approximately 1,400 graduates celebrated today.
Overall, 8,255 graduates from 33 JTM campuses and two satellite campuses nationwide received certificates and diplomas at this year’s convocation ceremony, which took place in several sessions.
