Travelers Warned About Fake MDAC Website by Immigration Department

Tourists from other countries are strongly encouraged by the Immigration Department to exercise caution when visiting websites that claim to be associated with the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) registration process.

In a Facebook post, the department exposed a bogus website with the URL https://malaysia-arrivalcard.vercel.app/?gad_source=1.

You should visit the official MDAC website at https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main to protect yourself from scams and to ensure the security of your personal information.

It is mandatory for all international tourists intending to visit Malaysia to fill out the MDAC online form prior to their arrival as of January 1, 2024.

Foreign nationals from Brunei, Singaporean nationals, diplomatic and official passport holders, permanent residents, Malaysian long-term pass holders, Thai border pass holders, and Indonesian cross-border pass holders are exempt from this rule.

Aiming to expedite procedures and decrease lines at immigration counters, the Malaysian government implemented this new policy as part of the Malaysia Visa Liberalization Plan.
