The bus carrying passenger flipped over and collided with five more cars

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 31 passengers faced a quick moment when the bus they were on skidded before hitting five vehicles near Jalan 3/144a near Maxim Residence Alam Damai near here on Sunday.

Deputy Head of the Investigation and Traffic Enforcement Department (JSPT) of Kuala Lumpur, Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said his party received information about the incident at 11.55pm.

“As a result of the investigation, it was found that the bus was on its way from Penang to the passenger accommodation location at The Residence Condominium, Cheras.

“While going down the ramp at the location of the incident, the bus carrying 11 male passengers and 20 female passengers is believed to have lost control and crashed before hitting several other vehicles parked at the location,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

He said that the incident did not involve injuries to the driver and all the passengers aged between 20 and 50.

“The accident also caused the electricity cable to be disconnected and TNB has been informed for further action.

“All passengers and vehicle owners involved are advised to come to the police station to make a report,” he said.

According to him, the investigation related to the incident was conducted under Regulation 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (Regulation 10 LN 166/59).
