Agong Attends Formal Banquet in Conjunction with 93rd Armed Forces Day

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim graced a formal banquet held in conjunction with the 93rd Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) Day at Wisma Perwira ATM here on Friday.

According to a post on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page, His Majesty was welcomed upon arrival by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

The ceremony also featured the procession of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s Colours into the banquet hall as part of the ceremonial proceedings before the event began.

Also present were Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar, Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail and Auditor-General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi.

Malaysian Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on September 16 to commemorate the service and sacrifices of ATM personnel in defending the nation’s sovereignty.
