PETALING JAYA: “Thank you, Allah, for lending me a husband as good as Zainol Afiq. Wait for me and the children in heaven.”
That was the longing expressed by the wife of the late Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, through the Threads account Izzatisyamimi today.
The woman shared that their seven-year marriage felt too short.
“So weird. I read everything about you everywhere. Seven years is short and too fast. So proud to be your wife. Your forever wife,” she said.
In another post, she also uploaded a photo from Deputy Health Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib showing her cradling her child.
“Your child really didn’t give me a chance to cry at all, huh? Please settle your child for a moment, ‘daddy’; my pool of tears is already full. I want to take a turn too.
“Tonight both of them wailed. Bear with me for a moment; I’m taking my turn. I hope you’re strong watching me cry ‘mendonia’. We love you, daddy,” she said.
Earlier, the five victims of the helicopter crash comprised the pilot, Captain Zainol Afiq, and four Ministry of Health personnel, namely Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33, Alexson Adit Henry, 31, Debra Moset, 40, and Jessie Paya Jok, 44.
The BO-105S helicopter crashed at the end of the Long Lellang runway at about 3.40 pm yesterday.
