Selangor Clinches Gold in Men’s Singles Pencak Silat Event

KAJANG: Selangor athlete Muhammad Aliff Damien Mohd Redzuan won the gold medal in the Men’s Singles Pencak Silat event at the 2026 Malaysia Games (SUKMA), at Dewan Seri Sarjana, UNITEN today.

In the event, fighters compete individually by presenting a series of pencak silat movements and techniques which are judged based on aspects of accuracy, technique and quality of performance.

Muhammad Aliff Damien performed brilliantly by completing his performance within a time of three minutes and scored 9.925 points to beat the athlete from Perak, Hadif Irfan Mustaffa Kamal.

This achievement also saw Selangor securing gold in both the Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles Pencak Silat categories, thus adding to the state contingent’s medal collection in the SUKMA 2026 competition being held in the state.

The success also reflects the proud performance of Selangor’s pencak silat athletes at the SUKMA 2026 arena, besides boosting the host squad contingent’s efforts to continue adding to their gold medal tally in the Games.
