KUALA LUMPUR: The Queen Consort of Malaysia, Raja Zarith Sofiah, graciously presented contributions to 400 beneficiaries in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, according to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Dr. Zaliha Mustafa.

She stated that the contributions were given to individuals from the groups of Persons with Disabilities (OKU), the elderly, and the poor.

“They were provided with food baskets containing basic necessities donated by the Raja Zarith Sofiah Foundation of Johor,” she mentioned on Facebook.

Zaliha also expressed gratitude to Raja Zarith Sofiah for graciously attending the Contribution Presentation Ceremony in conjunction with National Day 2024 with the Kuala Lumpur community at the Sentul Perdana Community Center.

Raja Zarith Sofiah was accompanied by the Prime Minister’s wife, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and Zaliha.

The ceremony held yesterday was the third of its kind, following the first event at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Institute on April 1, which involved contributions to 500 individuals in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur classified as hardcore poor.

The second event took place on June 13 at the Setiawangsa Community Center and involved 500 residents of the Federal Territory in the same category.
