Subang Jaya, July 20 (VOM-Voice of Malaysia): A group of private university students were caught off guard during a drug-fueled private party at a bungalow in Subang Jaya after police raided the premises in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azlan Wan Mamat, the operation was conducted by officers from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division (BSJN) of the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) at around 12:30 a.m.

A total of 38 individuals—comprising 25 Malaysians and 13 foreigners aged between 18 and 27—were found at the scene, most of whom were students from local private higher learning institutions (IPTS).

“During the raid, police arrested four local men, aged between 21 and 25, on suspicion of involvement in drug distribution,” Azlan said in a statement on Sunday night.

Police also seized 6.5 grams of suspected cannabis and 1.7 grams of suspected ketamine during the operation.

All individuals detained were taken to the BSJN office at IPD Subang Jaya for urine tests. Preliminary results revealed that nine Malaysians and three foreign nationals tested positive for drug use.

“All of them have been detained for further investigation,” Azlan added.

The case is being investigated under Malaysia’s Dangerous Drugs Act. Authorities have urged the public, especially students, to avoid involvement in illicit activities that could jeopardize their future.
