SERDANG, Oct 29: Police have launched a murder investigation after the naked body of an unidentified woman was discovered with her hands tied near the Blue Water Estate roundabout in Seri Kembangan on Wednesday afternoon.
Serdang district police chief Asst Comm Muhamad Farid Ahmad said officers were alerted to the scene following a call from a member of the public.
“The deceased, a female of unknown origin, was found with her hands tied and no clothes on near the Blue Water Estate roundabout.
Investigations are ongoing under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said in a statement.
Preliminary observations revealed that the victim was approximately 144 cm tall, with shoulder-length brown hair, long nails, and silver earrings in both ears. She was also wearing a green and red bangle and had a tattoo on her right hand.
Police have yet to confirm the cause of death, pending the results of a post-mortem examination.
“We are working to determine the victim’s identity and the circumstances leading to her death,” ACP Farid added.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the victim or the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
