PM Anwar Launches Malaysia’s National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 Campaign in Ipoh

IPOH: Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday officially launched the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 Campaign at the Sultan Azlan Shah Institute of Health Ministry Training (ILKKM SAS) in Tanjung Rambutan, Perak.

The launch ceremony marked the official commencement of the National Month 2026 celebrations, aimed at fostering patriotism, strengthening national unity, and reinforcing Malaysians’ love for the country.

The event served as a symbolic beginning of the nationwide campaign encouraging citizens to proudly display the Jalur Gemilang, Malaysia’s national flag, as a representation of the nation’s sovereignty, unity, and identity throughout the National Month celebrations.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Communications Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil, National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and Deputy Secretary-General (Security) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Datuk Haji Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman.

The ceremony brought together people from various communities and backgrounds, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting inclusiveness and national solidarity through the National Month celebrations.

The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 Campaign is expected to feature a series of patriotic programmes and community activities across the country, encouraging Malaysians to celebrate the nation’s independence, uphold shared values, and strengthen the spirit of unity under the national flag.
