Man Dies After Car Crushed By Falling Tree In Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: A man died after his car was crushed by a falling tree in front of Dua Residensi near the Singapore Embassy along Jalan Tun Razak here at approximately 10.20 pm last night.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief ACP Sazalee Adam said the 43-year-old victim sustained injuries to both arms and internal bleeding in the chest area.

“The victim died while receiving treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) at 4 am today,” he said in a statement today.

He said another vehicle carrying seven individuals aged between two months and 57 years was also hit by the falling tree in the incident.

Sazalee said all of them are currently receiving treatment at HKL, and physical examinations found no external injuries.

He said cleaning and tree cutting works by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) were completed at 12 midnight, while the two vehicles involved have been towed off Jalan Tun Razak to facilitate traffic flow.
