PM Anwar Ibrahim Advocates for ASEAN Unity at World Economic Forum 2025
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim showcased Malaysia’s leadership on the global stage during his attendance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, held from January 21 to 22. Anwar delivered a powerful keynote speech during the ASEAN Plenary Session titled “Even Stronger Together,” emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation and solidarity among ASEAN nations.
This year’s forum, themed “Collaboration for the Intelligence Age,” brought together world leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss pressing issues, including technological innovation, economic integration, and sustainability. As Malaysia holds the ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025, Anwar highlighted the region’s strategic goals, including fostering economic resilience, reducing inequality, and addressing climate change.
Anwar also held bilateral meetings with leaders from various countries and multinational corporations to explore trade opportunities and potential collaborations that could benefit Malaysia. The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Malaysia remains a key player in driving ASEAN’s collective progress while maintaining its focus on sustainable growth and inclusivity.
