PEKEMA Charity Golf – President’s Cup returns with RM500,000 in prizes

CYBERJAYA – The Malay Vehicle Importers and Traders Association of Malaysia (PEKEMA) is set to host the 11th edition of its iconic PEKEMA Charity Golf – President’s Cup on August 23 and 24 at the Palm Garden Golf Club, Putrajaya.

The prestigious two-day tournament is expected to attract nearly 500 amateur golfers from across Malaysia, making it one of the largest amateur charity golf events in the country.

Participants will include PEKEMA members, business partners, international suppliers, entrepreneurs, and valued customers.

Among the highlights of this year’s tournament is a prize pool exceeding RM500,000, including Dongfeng Box electric vehicles

A cash prize of RM28,888 is also up for grabs for a hole-in-one on Hole 2.

Other prize categories include:

Grand Lucky Draw: RM20,000 (1 winner), RM5,000 (1), RM3,000 (1)

Lucky Draw: RM1,000 (7 winners), RM500 (32), RM300 (45)

Main Competition Prizes:

President’s Cup Champion (1 winner)

Overall Winners (5 winners)

Medal Categories A, B, C, Ladies & Senior (5 prizes per category)

Each participant will also receive a goodie bag worth RM500.

According to PEKEMA President Datuk Mohamed Nazari Noordin, the event serves not only to strengthen industry networks but also as a platform to deliver corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

“PEKEMA Charity Golf is more than just a sporting event — it is a vital platform to strengthen ties between entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and government agencies, while promoting more inclusive economic growth,” he said.

He added that companies wishing to support the event as sponsors are most welcome, as it offers an opportunity to boost brand visibility and demonstrate commitment to social causes.

Funds raised from the tournament will be channelled to selected charitable homes and organisations, helping the underprivileged and supporting various welfare and community development initiatives.
