KOTA KINABALU: The decision on whether MIC remains in or withdraws from Barisan Nasional (BN) will not have a significant impact on the current political direction, said Selangor State Election Department (JPRN) Director, Dr. Sathia Prakash.
He said the most important priority now is ensuring that voters continue to support the party led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as the country needs stable and credible leadership.
“What matters most, particularly from JPRN Selangor’s perspective, is that we support PKR under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
“At this moment, there is no other figure more qualified to lead the country than the Prime Minister,” he said in a statement.

He stressed that the main focus should be on strengthening the Prime Minister’s mandate, as Anwar’s leadership is seen as the most consistent, stable, and people-centric.
He said any political maneuvering by any party should not distract from the goal of ensuring Malaysia continues moving forward under leadership committed to reform, unity and good governance.
“Our priority is to ensure Malaysia does not stray from the path of reforms currently being implemented.
“The Prime Minister has proven his commitment to leading the nation without sidelining anyone, whether from Sabah, Sarawak or the Peninsula,” he said.
Sathia said it is important for the people, particularly in Sabah, to understand the need to stand firmly in support of the Prime Minister’s leadership to ensure continuity of national development.
