KUALA LUMPUR: India-based global medical technology (MedTech) company Meril has launched its first Meril Academy in Malaysia, strengthening its global clinical education network while reinforcing the country’s position as a regional hub for healthcare innovation and medical education.

The newly established Meril Academy, Kuala Lumpur, is designed as a global platform for clinical education, bringing together healthcare professionals through expert-led learning, simulation-based training, hands-on workshops, structured learning pathways and clinical collaborations.

Meril said Malaysia was selected for the academy due to its strategic location, well-developed healthcare ecosystem and growing role as a regional centre for medical innovation, enabling the company to support healthcare professionals across Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.

President of Global Government Affairs at Meril, Dr Vibhav Garg, said innovation and education are complementary pillars in advancing healthcare.

“While innovation drives the development of advanced medical technologies, education empowers healthcare professionals to apply them with confidence and precision.

“Meril Academy, Kuala Lumpur, reflects our commitment to creating world-class learning platforms that foster continuous education, clinical collaboration and skill development.

“We are proud to establish our first academy in Malaysia, reinforcing our commitment to expanding access to world-class clinical education that enables healthcare professionals to innovate and ultimately improve patient outcomes,” he said.

According to the company, the academy underscores its long-term commitment to empowering healthcare professionals through continuous learning, scientific exchange and clinical collaboration.

It said the Kuala Lumpur academy will serve as a regional hub for continuous learning and clinical excellence, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering better patient outcomes across Malaysia and ASEAN.
