SEREMBAN: The system of all types of schools in the country continues to be strengthened through various initiatives to ensure that every student has access to quality education.

Education Minister, Fadhlina Sidek said this includes Government-Aided Schools and vernacular schools.

She said the government wants to ensure that no student is left behind or denied their right to education, in line with the priority given to the education sector under the Madani Government.

“Vernacular schools are protected under the Education Act 1996 and the government will continue to give attention to all types of schools regardless of stream.

“Students cannot be left behind or marginalised in the context of education. Our commitment is to ensure that education remains the number one priority,” she said when speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Labu Bahagian 4 in Labu today.

According to Fadhlina, the government has allocated RM25.8 million to implement the Madani Furniture Initiative at 362 SJKTs, smartboards at 388 schools, as well as the Kalvi Madani Programme to support learning for students from B40 families.
