SEPANG: National Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli, or Hakim Danish, is set to receive special support from local fans as the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) plans to provide a special grandstand for the 2026 Malaysia Grand Prix (Malaysia GP) this October.

SIC Chief Executive Officer, Azhan Shafriman Hanif said the special grandstand is being created to appreciate the outstanding achievements of the young rider, while also providing an opportunity for Malaysians to unite in giving their support to Hakim Danish in the prestigious race.

He said fans who have already purchased MotoGP tickets can exchange them for tickets to the special Hakim Danish grandstand once sales for that section are opened.

“Insya-ALLAH, we will set up a special grandstand for Hakim Danish. Those who have not yet bought tickets, wait, or you can buy now and exchange them for the Hakim Danish grandstand,” he told reporters after welcoming Hakim Danish’s return at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here on Tuesday.

Azhan Shafriman said based on preliminary plans, the special grandstand will be located in the Front Straight area near the Main Grandstand, offering a front-facing view of the race action.

He said SIC will initially provide two blocks of seating, but the capacity can be expanded if there is an encouraging response from fans.

“We will set up two blocks there, but if demand is high, we will expand those blocks,” he said.

He said further announcements regarding the special grandstand and the overall 2026 Malaysia GP plans will be made at a special press conference in September.

Meanwhile, Azhan Shafriman described Hakim Danish’s success in securing a victory in his first season as a rookie rider as something special and hoped that the rider would continue to deliver more podium finishes for Malaysia.

“It is rare to see in the first year, a rookie like Hakim Danish secure first place, so for me, it is a truly special achievement. We want to see more podiums coming,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hakim Danish described the special grandstand plan as a morale booster to perform at the Malaysia GP.

“Alhamdulillah, I just found out myself. Thank you to Encik Shafriman for giving me motivation and spirit to race in Sepang this October,” he said.
