Melaka State Election: PN Announces It Will Contest Six Seats

MELAKA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has officially announced that it will contest six of the 24 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the 16th Melaka State Election, scheduled to take place on November 14.

The announcement of candidates was made by PN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar at the Negeri Sembilan State Election Candidate Declaration Ceremony, held at Dewan Muallim Haji Abdul Wahid in Bukit Katil here.

However, he announced only five candidates, with the remaining candidate to be named later.

Under the seat allocation, PAS and Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) will contest two seats each, while Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) will contest one seat.

The following is the list of PN candidates announced:

PAS:

Paya Rumput – Rafie Ahmad

Bukit Katil – Mohd Ridzuan Sarif

WAWASAN:

Kesidang – Albert Kok

Bemban – Dr Mohd Yadzil Yaakub

GERAKAN:

Ayer Keroh – Datuk Seri Michael Gan
