The ambassador of Kuwait to Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met with Jasem Albudaiwi, who is the secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Sheikh Sabah presented Albudaiwi with a letter from Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya. It invited him to the third cabinet meeting between the GCC and Central Asian countries, which will be held in Kuwait on April 16.
Asad Albudaiwi praised Kuwait’s efforts to help the council move forward, pointing out that its positive actions and stances showed a strong desire to improve cooperation between Gulf countries and meet the hopes of GCC citizens for greater unity and solidarity.
In line with the goals of the GCC leaders, the two officials talked about ways to improve their joint efforts to promote cooperation in the Gulf. They also shared their thoughts on the latest events in the area and around the world.
